Class: Medically Directed Rescue

Without a viable patient it is not a rescue, it is a recovery! This course is designed to be an hands on approach to managing patients during any physical rescue. We will discuss vehicle accidents, technical rescue, remote assessment techniques, and also management of the long term entrapped patient. This class will take place indoors and out so come dressed for the weather! Also, a helmet, set of gloves, and eye protection will be required.

Class: Pediatric Case Reviews

This scenario based course will stretcher you knowledge and skills when dealing with pediatric patients. Several different scenarios will be used to refresh known skills and to introduce you to some new techniques.

Class: Athletic Injuries

This course will introduce our participants to the many different athletic related injuries that may be encountered. Everything from event standby type injuries to general orthopedic emergencies. This broad overview will introduce the participant to specific assessment techniques and common athletic injury signs and symtoms

Class: EMS Street Survival

Have you ever wondered what you would do if you were attack or assaulted at the scene of an emergency call? Have you been assaulted and thought that could have gone better for me? This two hour learning laboratory will talk about some of the common things we face in the ambulance or at the scene and how we can prevent incidents, mange ourselves and then also how to effectively defend ourselves.

COURSE POLICIES


Registration Policy


Payment in full is required to reserve your spot in the course. Tuition is non-transferable and is payable by check, credit card, PayPal or money order. Tuition covers class materials, course equipment, and certificate or certification cards. Sergeant Rescue is not obligated to allow any student to attend a course until the required payment and course registration materials are received and approved by Sergeant Rescue Training & Consulting staff. A full refund will be given if we need to cancel the course for any reason.


Cancelation, Withdraw & Refund Policy


If a student cancels or withdrawals from a course:

- If greater than or equal to 30 days prior to the starting date of the course, Sergeant Rescue will retain

  a $25.00 administrative fee.

- If equal to or less that 30 days prior to the starting date of the course, tuition is non-refundable and

  non-transferable.

-  Participants that cancel or withdraw from a course are still responsible for cancelation fees even if payment has not been sent or processed. (Applies if you cancel within 30 days of a course.

A full refund will be given if we need to cancel the course for any reason.


Late Payment Policy

Participants that register and choose pay via company check or personal check must submit payment in a timely manner. Payment is due no later than 10 days after your registrations is submitted. If payment is not post marked prior to this date a late fee will be assessed. Late fees will either be invoiced separately or added to any outstanding balance.
- Initial late fee is $25.00
- An additional fee of $15.00 per week will also be assessed if payment is delayed past 14 days from registration.



Class: MCI Incident Management

Low frequency & High acuity. When thinking about MCIs and what they really are we see that we are usually under prepared. We also notice that we don't really get a lot of exposure in such things until you have some years in EMS. This course is designed to teach effective triage techniques, introduce the participant to some management best practices, and then how to keep your cool when being overwhelmed!

Class: Pharmacology Review

This night will cover new and common medication usage as well as dosing. This course will also use scenarios to discuss and review setting up drips for different conditions. Med math will be a focus of this program.

Class: EMSVO Refresher

This class will discuss emergency vehicle operational safety, safe parking, and some of the common things we do wrong while operating an emergency vehicle. This class will also discuss the dash board assessment technique and then also reiterate provider safety at scene; accidents and medical emergencies.
