Date: 4 Jan 2018     1830-2230

This class will discuss the challenges of rural EMS operations as we transition from traditional street EMS to caring for hunters, hikers, loggers, and other incidents that happen back in the wilderness. Access to the patient is not always as easy as driving right to them. Getting them back out of where they are can also be a challenge. Being able to care for our patients in this environment is just as important as knowing what to do in the ambulance. This class will shed light on some special considerations, patient packaging techniques, and also how to provide long term care for the walk out.
