You are invited to join us for the first annual Keystone SAR Mini Con! This newly formed search and rescue conference is sponsored by Central Region Emergency Strike Team and Sergeant Rescue Training & Consulting. Any collected proceeds are to cover meals and certification exam cost only.
This year’s summit will boast several TED type talks that will introduce several new areas of SAR, or discuss some common trends in Search and Rescue Training. The morning lecture sessions will introduce you to some new aspects that we hope you explore after. There will also be several one hour hands on workshops to choose from. The afternoon training sessions will be in two hour blocks. Each block will be on a set topic and be both discussion and hands on based. We ask that you come dressed for the weather! You will also have the choice to take part in several of our full day activities. Those courses are listed on the left! On Saturday, 17 Aug 2019, we will also be holding a NASAR SARTech 2 & 3 exams. This is a fantastic opportunity to test your skills in the field. For information about the exams and what is tested, head to www.NASAR.org.
After a long day in the classroom we hope you will join us for a cook out! All of the participants are invited to the cook out to help network and learn about each others organization. Search and Rescue is a team sport. Just like any team sport you need to know who is playing on your team. What better why to get to know one another than breaking bread and downing a cold one!
Although this conference is sponsored by Sergeant Rescue, the classes are designed to be for Search & Rescue in general. There is no class that will be specific to any one organization. Making this a fantastic opportunity to learn from some great minds in Search & Rescue.
We hope that you will join of for this inaugural event!
