Please join us for our ninth annual NREMT / Pennsylvania Paramedic & EMT refresher. This course is a state approved 30 hour NREMT Refresher course and will also include some very interesting and challenging educational sessions! We are now offering this as a hybrid learning course! Meaning the days you would normally travel for lecture will be done via online meeting!!!!!! This program meets and exceed NCCP Refresher requirements. 

Part of this course will include the NAEMT Advanced Medical Life Support Refresher course and the NAEMT Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support Refresher course. Both will require a distance learning module provided by SRTC. 

Participants wanting to receive a NREMT Refresher certificate must attend the entire course! Refresher students wishing to receive either a AMLS or PHTLS certification will be charged and additional $35.00 per card to cover the certification & registration fees and must attended the refresher hands on day. 


New this year will be student shorts! These will be student made presentations on a topic of their choosing. The presentation will be 10 minutes each covering the broad strokes of their main topic! 


This refresher will include knowledge stretching lectures and challenging hands-on skill stations!


Participants from outside Pennsylvania: The course is an approved NREMT NCCP Paramedic Refresher. A certificate will be generated that should be uploaded as part of your supporting documentation for renewal. The same certificate should be submitted to your home state to receive the applicable 56 hours of continuing education via CONED by endorsement. 


* Those that can provide an AMLS course attendance verification within the last year need not attend the AMLS portion of this course. Those that can show PHTLS, ATLS, BTLS, or ITLS attendance within the last year do not need to attend the PHTLS portion of the course. *

Travel Arrangements


University Park Airport is the local airport. There are multiple rental car dealers at the airport, Enterprise, Hertz, Etc. Many of the local hotels will do airport transfers as well. 


Arrival

If flying or driving from outside the local area please plan to arrive the day before any class.


Departure

Class will dismiss at 1700 or 2200 on course days. We encourage those wishing to fly that flight arrangements be made to depart the following day or the day after the class you wish to attend.

COURSE POLICIES


Registration Policy


Payment in full is required to reserve your spot in the course. Tuition is non-transferable and is payable by check, credit card, PayPal or money order. Tuition covers class materials, course equipment, and certificate or certification cards. Sergeant Rescue is not obligated to allow any student to attend a course until the required payment and course registration materials are received and approved by Sergeant Rescue Training & Consulting staff. Attendance for the entire course is required for NREMT refresher credit. 


Cancelation, Withdraw & Refund Policy


If a student cancels or withdrawals from a course:

- If greater than or equal to 45 days prior to the starting date of the course, Sergeant Rescue will retain

  a $45.00 administrative fee.

- If equal to or less that 45 days prior to the starting date of the course, tuition is non-refundable and

  non-transferable.

-  Participants that cancel or withdraw from a course are still responsible for cancelation fees even if payment has not been sent or processed. (Applies if you cancel within 45 days of a course.)

A full refund will be given if we need to cancel the course for any reason.

Late Payment Policy

Participants that register and choose pay via company check or personal check must submit payment in a timely manner. Payment is due no later than 10 days after your registrations is submitted. If payment is not post marked prior to this date a late fee will be assessed. Late fees will either be invoiced separately or added to any outstanding balance.
- Initial late fee is $25.00
- An additional fee of $10.00 per day will also be assessed if payment is delayed past 14 days from registration.



 Lodging


No onsite lodging is available for this event.



Hotels


There are several hotels near State College, PA within a 5-25 minute drive from the training site. Average cost per night is $100.00.

Amenities


There are many great restaurants in the State College area, both local and chain. There are also multiple grocery stores within a 20 minute drive from the training area.


Students are encouraged to plan to have lunch at the class location both days.
